Foundations
My training in Somatic Experiencing® (SE) has given me the foundation of my work, and includes nervous system–centered touch work. I'm currently training in NeuroAffective Touch work and integrating this lens into my practice as well.
I have spent several years supporting survivors of sexual assault in crisis and advocacy spaces, and have participated in additional SE-informed training focused on somatic-based healing around sexuality and sexual trauma. This work has resonated deeply with me and I am committed to supporting those healing from its complex impacts.
My Path Into This Work
From a young age, I felt a desire to be in service to healing. Over time, and through my own healing journey, I came to study the processes of the body and mind, and how we might heal from past experiences and physical conditions.
I found receiving this work to be helpful in accessing parts of myself and my experience that I had struggled to reach in meaningful ways through other approaches.
My studies in herbalism, social sciences, ecology, nutrition, and bodywork have all shaped how I understand the body—as something that is continually adapting, compensating, and seeking balance, both within itself and in relationship to the wider systems and ecosystems we are part of. I bring this integrative perspective into my work with clients.
An Interconnected Lens
I approach this work with an understanding that our nervous systems are shaped by the larger systemic and environmental conditions in which we live, as well as the histories of our personal lineages.
The adaptations we carry are not solely individual; they are shaped by what our families and communities have endured — and continue to endure. I see personal healing as something that unfolds within this wider relational and cultural context. Our communities shape us, and we participate in shaping our communities.
...
When I am not doing this work, you can find me dancing, making things with my hands, spending time near bodies of water, and savoring simple pleasures.
I deeply value creating spaces where people feel seen and supported in what they carry.
My work is collaborative and grounded in curiosity and trust in the body’s inherent intelligence.
I understand anxiety, chronic symptoms, and protective patterns as manifestations of adaptations that once served a purpose.
My orientation toward healing is not about achieving perfection, but about re-connecting with our authentic nature and holding inquiry and integration at the center of the process.
